Our Holdings

　　Shaoxing Archives is the sole national comprehensive archives in Shaoxing. There are 399 fonds and more than 360 million paper files. Our major holdings are records of government, social organizations, state-owned enterprises since 1949. There are also several records of temporary organizations and cancelled organizations. Those records focus on politics, economy, culture, education, public health and foreign affairs of Shaoxing since 1949 which are valuable for research of Shaoxing history.
　　Our earliest holding is students status registers of Shaoxing No.1 middle school in period of the Public of China. The relatively completed holdings are records of marriage, education, notarization, real estate and so on. Not only paper records, but also photos, audio-visual archives, video archives and objects archives are available here. What’s more, We also hold 19 thousand books and reading materials including historical records, statistics, reference books and newspaper, etc.
　　The construction of Shaoxing Electronic Records Archives was started from 2004. Up till now, we have finished the construction of records catalogue database and full text database of high utilization records. In addition, Shaoxing Archives is in charge of collecting and managing governmental electronic records.
